How the staff describe the team – friendly, supportive, professional, welcoming, passionate, flexible, functioning, well supported.
The South Oxon Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) covers the beautiful semi rural area of South Oxfordshire. We are a large mental health team covering working alongside our third sector partners to provide care and treatment patients with a wide range of mental health conditions and their families. We value all team members and recognise that everyone in the team are valuable and contribute to the smooth running of the team and the care we provide for our patients.
An opportunity has arisen within the South Oxon AMHT for a qualified Mental Health Nurse to become an integral part of the team. Applicants should have extensive experience of working in adult mental health services, managing care packages and placements for patients with complex needs. They will need to understand the challenges that this care group can bring and be flexible, hard working with good IT skills. The AMHT is based at The Wallingford Community Hospital with satellite bases in Thame, Didcot and Abingdon.
The team is highly supportive and committed to delivering a high quality patient and carers journey; where the caseload can be demanding, diverse and frequently complex.
Our AMHTs provide an assessment and treatment function. The successful candidate will be with the Treatment part of the team, based in the Wallingford & Thame FACT teams. This post is predominantly Monday – Friday 9-5 with one weekend in 6.
Regular supervision will be provided and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake any training relevant to your professional and personal development.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
