Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust has been rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We are a responsive and innovative Foundation Trust that places our values of Caring, Safe and Excellent at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in our staff and believe that investing in you is key to us achieving our vision of outstanding care delivered by outstanding people.
We work with a wide range of partner organisations to deliver care and support to people in their own homes and from a number of hospitals and community bases. We focus on delivering care as close to home as possible.
The South Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) is a combined Crisis, Assertive Outreach and Community Mental Health Team providing intensive and seamless assessment, care and treatment for people with a wide range of mental health difficulties across South Oxfordshire.
The Team are positive and creative, giving all staff the opportunity to develop autonomy alongside support and supervision. We are keen for all staff to be offered training to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence and participate in research if interested. The team is highly supportive and committed to delivering a high quality patient and carer journey; where the caseload can be demanding, diverse, frequently complex yet rewarding.
We had a recent successful Away Day where the staff developed their Mission Statement for the AMHT which showed their enthusiasm, passion and enjoyment of the excellent care that the Team provides to patients, their families and carers.
Applicants need to have experience of working in adult mental health services and understand the challenges that this care group can bring. The AMHT is based at The Wallingford Community Hospital with satellite bases in Thame, Didcot and Abingdon.
We would welcome applications from newly qualified Mental Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists interested in working in Community Mental Health starting at Band 5. Please apply via this advert and express an interest in a Band 5 development post.
Our AMHTs provide an assessment and treatment function. The successful candidate will be with the Treatment function which operates mainly Monday to Friday 9-5 with weekends every 6-8 weeks. Both Part time and Full Time positions will be considered.
