An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Qualified Nurse or Occupational Therapist to work within the Oxford City and North East Oxon Adult Mental Health Team.
This role will be undertaken in multi-disciplinary teams with an ethos of team working which is implemented to deliver high quality care to meet the needs of patients at all stages of their illness and recovery.
You will have the knowledge and experience of working with services users suffering from severe and enduring mental health problems. You will demonstrate a passion for supporting recovery and challenging the stigma that mental health service users experience. You will work to the values of anti-oppressive practice, empowerment and recovery orientated, patient centered care, with a strong focus on the bio-psycho-social perspective of mental health.
You will have a strong working knowledge and skills base for working within the Care Act 2015, Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will be supported to work to your professional strength as this meets the team vision of patients experiencing the right professional input at the right time.
You will thrive from working in a challenging, busy yet professionally rewarding environment amongst colleagues who work to support each other and promote wellbeing. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team from across the professions who facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists and hold your development as central. Regular supervision will be provided and you will be encouraged to undertake any training relevant to your professional development.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
