Oxford Health are offering an exciting opportunity for two training posts within Wiltshire and Bath and North East Somerset Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) One post will be based in Marlborough, Wiltshire and the other in Keynsham, BaNES. There will be a requirement to travel between the bases for meetings.

This opportunity is part of the Child and Young Persons Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP-IAPT) initiative of offering Recruit to Train (RTT) posts to clinicians who are registered RMN, Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Clinical Psychologists and who wish to learn an additional therapeutic skill. The post-holder will, therefore, work within CAMHS providing SFP clinics supervised by family therapists whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. The training will take place at Exeter University and tuition and travel expenses will be paid by the Trust, in line with Trust policy.

The post-holder will work in CAMHS for three days of the week using newly developed skills alongside their core clinical training and attend the University based training programme for two days per week. Other mental health clinical duties include assessment and treatment, attending team meetings, CPD, statutory mandatory training, etc, consistent with their core profession and the clinical need of the team.

On successful completion of the training the post holders will be encouraged to apply for substantive posts within CAMHS.
